How do you inspire more kids to get more interested in science? AFRL New Mexico believes one of the best ways is to show them just how fun and exciting science is. We’re doing this by taking science out of the lab and getting directly into classrooms.
AFRL scientists are available to give classroom demonstrations that take scientific, technical, engineering and mathematical applications and explain them to kids in ways that are interactive, highly visual and attention grabbing. It also gives students the opportunity to learn from and ask questions of some of the top scientists in the world.
As school budgets continue to be tightened, it’s important to note that AFRL New Mexico offers these classroom demonstrations free of charge. Our goal is to inspire our nation’s next generation of scientists and engineers.
We have put together an extensive catalog of demonstrations for our scientists to take to schools, focused primarily on: mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, electricity, sound and light.
If you are interested in having one of AFRL’s scientists visit your school, please contact us at (505) 846-2707 or email us.
