Local Air Force Laboratory Directed Energy Directorate scientists 1st Lt. Daniel Gum, 2nd Lt. Gideon Powers, and Jeremy McConaha are attending the Air Force Association Air, Space, and Cyber Conference this week in order to discuss high power electromagnetic technology with the conference attendees.

The conference, which includes senior leaders from the Air Force is being held starting September 18, 2017 in Washington, D.C. Conference attendees include Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson. The AFA is a premier event for defense and aerospace professionals from across the globe and allows attendees to participate in forums and listen to speechs from many sectors of the Air Force.

The Kirtland Air Force Base employees also attended the AFA Air Force’s 70th Birthday Reception on the evening of Monday, September 18.
